Sources also conflict on his date of death. One states he died in1888 in Webster County, Missouri. Another states he was enumerated on the 1890 Special Census of Union Veterans in Ozark County, Missouri. This same source also states that after his wife Sarah Ann Matney died, he married a second time to a Cleo Decker, on 19 Nov 1905, in Ozark County, Missouri. Sources conflict on this date. One source shows February 22, 1817, in North Carolina. The 1850 census indicates he was born about 1816. However, the 1820 census of Knox County, Kentucky indicates there were as yet no children at all in his parent's household.
