He was a benefactor of his father's 1895 Will in Fannin County, Texas. In this same cemetery are buried Roland's first wife Nancy Clower and young son Grady. Also buried there are two other children that may have been grandchildren: Edith (17 May 1907 - 05 Jun 1907) and Nattie Alice Nadine (09 Nov 1922 - 16 Nov 1922). His cemetery headstone indicates a birthdate of 1863, and a death date of 1953.
