Clarence Decatur NORMAN #33659

12 JUN 1852 - 21 SEP 1916
BIRTH 12 JUN 1852, Yell, Arkansas, USA
BURIAL Fairview Cemetery Gainesville, Cooke, Texas, USA
He was originally buried in the Van Slyke community cemetery, near his home. Over the passage of many years, this cemetery was abandoned and fell into serious disrepair. About 1967, the remaining Norman children jointly moved his remains (and those of several other family members) to Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
DEATH 21 SEP 1916, Cooke, Texas, USA
MARRIAGE BEF 1870, Yell, Arkansas, USA
This was Clarence's first marriage. The date is derived from the 1870 census of Yell County, Arkansas.
MARRIAGE 22 JUL 1889, Fannin, Texas, USA
It is extremely easy to confuse the children produced by Clarence Norman and Annie McPherson. Simply stated, Clarence was married three times. He had six children by his first wife, one by his second wife, and thirteen by Annie McPherson his third wife... for a total of twenty children. Annie was married twice. She had one child by her first husband, and the thirteen she shared with Clarence Norman. Between the two of them, Clarence and Annie were married five times, and twenty-one total children were produced by these marriages.
MARRIAGE 15 SEP 1887, Grayson, Texas, USA
