2 MAY 1839 - 5 MAY 1862

Personal Information

  • BIRTH: 2 MAY 1839, Pickens, South Carolina, USA

Notes

He enlisted 20 July 1861 in Co. A, First (Orr's) South Carolina Rifles at the same time as brother William. He died some ten months later. Having died while in Confederate service during the War Between the States, it is questionable whether his body was returned home for burial. There is however, a headstone in the Corbin family cemetery inscribed "John Corbin".
