MARRIAGE 14 DEC 1821, Bedford, Virginia, USA
According to A HISTORY OF BRISTOL PARISH, VIRGINIA; Rev. Phillip Slaughter; Richmond; 1879; the Rev. Nicholas Cobbs married his own first cousin, Lucy H. L. Cobbs. The bond for this marriage states she was the daughter of Edmund Cobbs, which does corroborate this information. The Bondsman was one M. H. Garland. The ceremony was performed by William S. Reid.
