THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Aug 1974: 'Mrs. A.W. Lattimore, 86, resident of the Gibralter Hotel, died Monday, 5 Aug 1974 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home, with Dr. James Semple of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery. Sarepta Williams Lattimore was born 1 Nov 1888 in Blossom, the daughter of the late Demsey W. Williams and Lydia Cooper Williams. She attended public schools in Blossom and attended the old CIA College in Denton, presently Texas Woman's University. She taught school in Deport and in Roxton. She married A.W. Lattimore 1 Jan 1912, his death occurring in 1957. The couple lived in Paris until 1926 at which time they moved to Vernon where she operated a wholesale-retail business and later The Dress Style Shop for a total of 35 years. She moved back to Paris in 1969 and has lived here since. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Kendall Bible Class. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Roy H. Weaver of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. C. Wilbor Cecil of Houston, and MissThetis Williams, Paris; several nephews including John Dempsey King of Paris and several nieces.'
