[N2892] At the age of thirteen Henry was apprenticed to Thomas Elvy of Faversham, Grocer, for the sum of 40 pounds. He became a flourishing business man owning land in six parishes around Iwade and leaving considerable sums of money in his will to his wife and children. He married twice. First to Mary ? by whom he had a daughter Elizabeth. Then to Elizabeth Ellis by whom he had three children, Sarah, Henry and John. He died 5 February 1772 and is buried in Faversham Church.
