Last Will & Testament of Polly Graves: Chesterfield County, Virginia, Will Book 5, p156. "in the name of God Amen.
I, Polly Graves of Chesterfield County and daughter of the late King Graves Decd. being of sound mind and memory, Thanks be to God for the same, do make this my last will and testament in manner and terms as follow to wit:
I give devise and bequeath to my mother Mary Graves two negroes named June and Sam one Bed and furniture and all the rest of my household furniture, all my Stock of Cattle, sheep and hogs and one Colt to her and her heirs forever.
I give to my sister Francis Cobb one negro girl named Mason to her and her heirs forever.
I give to my sister Lucy Graves one negro Girl named Judy and all the money due me in the division of my Father King Graves Dec'd estate that is to say from my sister Lucy to me to her and her heirs forever.
I give devise and bequeath to my brother William Graves one Grey mare and all the money due me for the division of my father's Estate that is to say all the money due me from my brother William to him and his heirs forever.
My will and desire is that Charles Graves (her uncle) should be my Executor to this my last will and Testament witness this 15th day of March one thousand eight hundred and three.
