[N2265] From the "Virginia Gazette and General Advertiser", Mar 3, 1768: "To be sold, on Tuesday the 22d of March next (if fair, otherwise next fair day) at the late dwelling plantation of Mr. Anderson Stith, deceased, lying in King William County, on Pamunkey River, about three miles above Page's warehouse, Twenty five choise picked slaves, being the remainder of the slaves belonging to Mr. Stith's estate (all that were indifferent having been before sold) among whom is an excellent cook wench, and several good house servants; the rest are chiefly fine fellows. Also will be sold the household and kitchen furniture, and the flocks of cattle, hogs, horses, and sheep, two yoke of large oxen, with the carts, ploughs, tools, Etc. belonging to the estate. Twelve months credit will be allowed, the purchasers giving bond and security to Joanna Stith, Executrix."
