Notes

While in High School at Meade Memorial, Thomas won an essay contest, sponsered by local attornies, on the subject "Why Paintsville needs a new court house." he was a manager of the basketball team. In 1957 he entered the Air Force Academy. Roger then went to work as a clerk for the Ky-WVa Gas Company in 1963, and moved up to technical field man, field forman, joined the personnel department May 1, 1970 and on Aug 1, 1972 was promoted to Assistant Personnel Director. On April 1, 1975 he was elevated to Personnel Director.
