Andrew was a graduate of Miami Medical School, Cincinnati, Ohio and as his brother, Archibald, he interned with his brother John in Powellsville, Ohio. In 1882 he migrated with Archibald to Kansas, settling in Scranton, Kansas where he practiced the remainder of his life.
