Historical Notes

On death of his uncle Robert Cobb, he took Town Place, Throwley, which had been in the tenure of the family since 1786. In 1901, he left Town Place and lived at Brogdale for a time and then went to live at Newton Road, Faversham, where he died.
On tablet in St. Michael and All Angels, Throwley, "For 27 years warden and for 38 years guardian of the poor of this parish; Also chairman of Faversham Board of Guardians and Rural and District Council."
