Historical Notes

There is room for possible error here. According to one published reference, Thomas married Amanda Millwood in 1868 in Cherokee County, Georgia. He also had a sister Amanda born 1855. Thomas is listed in the household of his parents on the 1870 census. If the marriage record is correct, it would seem logical that Thomas' wife Amanda Millwood would have also been listed in the same household. However, there is only one Amanda Cobb on the enumeration, and she appears to have been sister Amanda, who married Joseph Mackey in 1873.
