[N2992] It is reported she was the daughter of Sir Thomas LEIGH, Lord Mayor of London in 1558. However, this appears to be erroneous. An examination of the Leigh genealogy does reflect a daughter Mary who married a Cobb; but one name Richard. Also, the daughter of Sir Thomas would have been close to thirty years younger than this Michael Cobbes.
