[N1243] Last Will & Testament of John Corbin:

State of Georgia, Cherokee County,
In the name of God Amen, I John Corbin of said State and County, being of advanced age, and knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper, both as respects my family and myself, that I should make a disposition of the property with which a Kind Providence has blessed me, do therefore make this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me.
1st Item, I desire and direct that my body be buryed in a decent and Christian like manner, suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. My Soul, I trust shall return to rest with God who give it, as I hope for eternal Salvation, through the merits and attonement of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whose religion I have professed and as I humbly trust, enjoyed for series of years.
2nd Item, I desire that all my just debts be paid, without delay by my executor appointed as I am unwilling my creditors should be delayed in their rights especially, as there is no necessity for delay.
3rd Item, I give and bequeath, and devise to my beloved wife Delilah with whom I have lived for a series of years, all of my real and personal estate and effects including that given to my beloved wife Delilah during her natural life or widowhood.
4th Item, and after her death or intermarriage, I bequeath and devise to my five sons Joseph, Benjamin, Reuben, Jasper and Newton, all my real estate to be equally proportioned to each of my five sons named.
5th Item, after the decease of my beloved wife Delilah I bequeath and devise to my five daughters namely Polly, Rachael, Abigail, Susan, Delilah, all my personal estate, equally proportioned to each of my daughters named.
6th Item, I herby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Delilah Executrix and my worthy friend Abraham Crow Executor of this my last will and testament, this January the 26th 1853.
