Historical Notes

Dr. Castle attended school at East Point, KY. he then worked as a laborer on the C&O Railroad until he had enough funds to attend the Louisville School of Medicine graduating July 30, 1907. Dr. Castle was very well known through out the County. The W. R. Castle Memorial elementary school at the mouth of Rush was named in his honor.
