(Tomb in rails.) "The Rev. George BYTHESEA M.A. late Rector of this Parish died 11(?)December 1800 aged 35 years. (Burial Register: buried 22 December F&Z B) Also Mrs Katherine Bythesea daughter of the Rev. Thomas COBB Rector of Upper Hardes and Stelling relict of William Bythesea Esq. and mother of the above named. Rev. George Bythesea who died 1 December 1807 aged 70 years. Also George Kemp Bythesea the only child of the Rev. George and Ann his wife died 6 June 1809 aged 9 years. Cecilia daughter of Katherine and wife of Lieutenant Charles BROME, Royal Navy died 30 November 1826 and who while living was a great blessing to all around her. Also the above Charles Brome Esq. Lieutenant Royal Navy died 6 April 1830 in his 80th year."
