Historical Notes

The Union Soldier excerpt from the 1890 Census shows the following for Hezekiah:

"Borders, Hezekiah, Sergeant, K. Co. 68th Ky Milita, enlisted June 7, 1864, discharged Feb 1890, served 26 years, head bursted, pension $24 per Mo."

His grave, in a small cemetery at Lomansville, shows he was a Sergeant in the 68th Kentucky Infantry. It appears his third wife Louisa, is buried by his side. There are some conflicting and unclear records on Hezekiah's lineage, so all lineage with this Hezekiah should be checked closely.
