Nothing is known about Anthony Stanford other than in 1658, he was a merchant of London doing business in the Virginia Colony, and that he was the brother of Hugh Stanford who married Margaret Cobbs, daughter of Ambrose Cobbs (the Immigrant) and wife Ann White.
