[N2674] Richard Bland was graduated from William and Mary College, studied at the University of Edinburgh, was a member of the Virginia House of Burgesses 1745-1775, and a member of the Virginia Committee of Correspondence in 1773. He took a leading part in the Revolutionary War, was Member of the Continental Congress in 1774 and 1775; and a member of the Revolutionary Conventions of 1775 and 1776.
