Historical Notes

Howard received his pre med schooling at the University of Texas and received his M.D. from the University of Kansas in 1938. After his internship at St. Lukes Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri he entered the Army Medical Corps as a First Lt. He later transferred to the Air Force and had moved up in rank to Lt. Colonel and Staff Flight Surgeon in the 13th Air Force.
