It had formerly been thought this individual married Ambrose Jackson in York County, Virginia, in 1775. It is known that a female by this name gave birth to a daughter Molly there in 1797; and that one Ambrose Jackson filed his Will in York County, in 1796. However, the discovery of the fact that she was present in Lincoln County, North Carolina, between 1799-1805, to purchase items from her mother's estate, has eliminated this possibility. She was named in her father's Will as Mary Jackson, but apparently this Mr. Jackson was not the Ambrose of York County, Virginia.
