Historical Notes

In the July 1805 session of the County Court of Pleas, a Letter of Administration was granted to Sarah Cobb, the widow, who qualifed accordingly and gave bond and Phillip Pierce security in the sum of three hundred pounds. In the January 1807 Session of the County Court of Pleas, Enoch Beach (Sarah's father) was appointed Guardian to Nancy Cobb, Judy Cobb, Henry Cobb, Lollah Cobb and Enoch Cobb- "orphanchildren of James Cobbs, deceased".
