At the time of his death he lived in Moorgate Street, London. An old red-covered book in the possession of R. J. Ketchum, R.R.2, Port Stanley, Ontario, Canada, contains a note stating " Charles Francis Cobb died suddenly at Conway in North Wales when on a tour from London on the 26th September 1855, aged 51, and was buried at Throwley, Kent."
