Her husband died without a Will and the Court appointed Patton Anderson to be the executor. A petition filed in Benton County, Alabama, 26 Nov 1844, asked for settlement of the estate and it was settled in 1850.
Rebecca moved with the youngest five children to Lafayette County, Mississippi, to live with Jonathan Anderson. Each of the older children were of legal age and they moved to Mississippi also. Only Patton remained in Alabama. David and Andrew Jr were living in Lafayette County and all the other children made their homes in De Soto County, Mississippi, by 1850.
