As far as is known he died unmarried and without issue. However it is learned from the probate records of Floyd County, Georgia that when he left for Texas, he left behind a modest estate which must have included some debts. His brother Leander M. Cobb was appointed the administrator of Andrew's estate, and in 1859 was paid Andrew's inheritence from the estate of their grandfather John S. Cobb. It is assumed that Leander used this money to settle Andrew's accounts.
