On 11 May 1818, Susannah Posey was given a bond in the Claiborne County Court to administrate goods, chattels, etc. of Benjamin Posey, deceased.
On 10 May 1820, Susannah Posey presented to court a petition praying leave to keep an ordinary or house of public entertainment in said county, who entered into bond and security to the satisfaction of the court and was sworn as the law directs. [She made application again on 16 May 1821.]
Among other bequests she leaves six dollars to Ann Ball, her daughter.
