F.L. (Finis) Kinsey, 79 died Wednesday, May 6, 1992, in a Wichita Falls hospital.

Services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Archer City Church of Christ with Larry Suttle, minister of Tenth and Broad Church of Christ in Wichita Falls, the Rev. Bob Kitchell, pastor of First Assembly of God of Archer City and Darol Bell of Bowie, officiating. Burial was in Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

Mr. Kinsey was born December 17, 1912 in Clay County. He and Lena Kuykendall were married October 20, 1934 in Bellevue. They moved to Archer City in 1962 where he owned and operated Kinsey Ditching Service until retiring in 1980. He was a former rancher and oil fieldworker. He was a member of Archer City Church of Christ, where he was treasurer for 10 years and served on the building committee. He had served as elder at Loving Church of Christ for many years.

Pall bearers were Wayne Cox, Dan Haile, Pat Martin III, H.A. Deen, Fred McCown and Willie Williford.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Billy B. and Carl Virgil, Sr., both of Archer City; a daughter, Louise Rux of Archer City; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
