"Sir Edmund Pelham was the son of Sir William Pelham and Mary Sandys. He died on 4 June 1606.
Sir Edmund Pelham was also known as Edward. He was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1563. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hastings in 1597. He was a practicing Sergeant-at-Law in 1601. He was invested as a Privy Counselor (P.C.) in 1602. He held the office of Chief Baron of the Exchequer for Ireland between 1602 and 1606. He was invested as a Knight in 1604."
